Swine Flu
The CDC ( Center of Disease Control) has taken this case very seriously and the situation has grown from a few a days ago. A few days ago there were only 5 states that were confirmed with the flu and only 20 cases to 7 states and 68 cases. There are no signs of the flu being harmful to anybody. The states that are affected as of now are California, Texas, Ohio, New York and a few others. The CDC believes that Mexico has infected the United States with the Swine flu. In California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has declared a state of emergency with the spread of the swine flu.
Utah is now at this point preparing for a possible outbreak of the swine flu and getting ready for this problem. At the moment there really is no reason to fear this disease because it has not become fatal in the U.S. The U.S. has the reliable resources to fight this disease off. Mexico on the other hand has had many citizens die from this because they do not have the money or the resources to fight the disease.
There are also other countries that have been infected by the disease such as Spain, New Zealand, Canada. This is not the first time that a pandemic like this has happened. Many experts believe that we are way over due for another pandemic which is to believe why everybody is freaking out about this. The concern of the swine flu has grown increasingly and they are trying everything they can to try to stop it from spreading to the rest of the country. Vice President Biden responded by stating that no one should leave their kids should not leave their homes and people should not travel on airplanes and not to go in subways because those areas are too small and the disease could be transferred from person to person easy in small spaces like that.
Obama said that it is a serious issue, but is not one that people should be panicking about.

Cheating Miss U.S.A

One woman who was running in a beauty pageant for Miss U.S.A was in my opinion cheated for what answering a questioning truthfully and honestly. She was asked a question about same sex marriage and she said that it is great for people to have the choice to choose to get married to someone by the same sex marriage or get married to the opposite sex. Though she thinks it is great she also said “ that she believes that marriage should be between one man and one women.”
Perez Hilton one of the Judges at the pageant said “ she did not lose because she does not believe in the same sex marriage, she lost because she is a dumb woman.” People should not be judged on their opinions, but should be judged on how well they do on anything. Carrie Prejean said “ Just because you love someone does not mean you necessarily have to agree with them.” I agree with that because everyone agrees on something, but not everyone will agree on the same thing all the time.Carrie Prejean said “ I was honored to have been standing their to the very end and next to Miss North Carolina.”
When she went on to the news “your world Cavuto”, Cavuto asked her did you think a question like that would have been asked? Prejean said “ I did not think that a question that controversial would have been asked. She also went onto Hannity’s America and was asked how did you react to his response? Prejean said “ all I can do is hold my head up high and be proud of what I said that night and I said what I said and it is my honest opinion.” Hannity said “ If you are going to be asked a question it shouldn’t be based on the answer that you give, It should be on how honest that give it.” Prejean said “ Answer should not be based on what you say, but on how you say it.”

Advice for Sophomores

The Gettysburg Address- Abraham Lincoln and JFK inauguration speech
The speech that President Lincoln gave will be discussing the war that had happened and is there to speak to the people about what had happened which is known as the Gettysburg address. JFK spoke at his Inauguration when he was taking office of President and he was speaking about the freedoms we have and we all should work together to help keep our country free from any outside danger.
The address was spoken on the people who had died fighting for their country and they will not be forgotten. Everybody who was there listening to Lincoln were lugubrious, it was a powerful speech that he gave that day.When JFK gave his speech it was a very powerful one all the things that he said was so good everybody gave him kudos for that magnificent speech. There sure was a lot that he said that interested me.
before us. The word choice he used was very good because he did not just come out and say it in a bold way, he also used words that people would understand what he was trying to get at. Lincoln also had a passion to the things he said and what he said is evidence of how much he cared, it is not just what you do as President, but it is also how you present what you are talking about to the people. He was have today. His word choice was very persuasive because he had a passion to what he said. He also had a feeling of power to know we can make other nations free and we as a americans must teach younger generations to hold on
to our values.
When lincoln spoke he spoke with great courage and strength and when he was speaking he also spoke with emotion, what he said was so pellucid and loud that noone would forget what he said. He also said that the government that was made would never be lost and said it like this" The government was made for the people by the people too the people and shall never perish".The things that Kennedy said was ineffable and he had a lot of emotion to the speech he gave. We as a country must be willing to share our freedoms with the world because we are the greatest country in the world.
Lincoln had such a way with words and put them in ways that they are powerful and very persuasive such as" The world may forget what we say here, but can never forget what they did here" that is a powerful sentence by its self. He was so efficacious in what he said and said exactly what wanted to say and there is nothing that kept from doing good for the people.When Kennedy would speak there was a lot of emotion in what Kennedy said and it was so emollient because he wanted everybody to come together as Americans and help fight so everybody around the world can experience the freedoms we have. He wanted to bring all Americans together and to fight for what they believe in so all americans can have the freedoms we have.

Wake up the morning
Yawning and stretching get up
Plan for a new day.
Flash fiction
Sitting there a lone by myself noone to talk to and nothing to do. Watching as they all go by and feeling sad as well. It is also getting hot and I am really bored out of my mind. I can’t even listen to the radio because the keys are not with me in here.
People look at me and give me a smile and sometimes wave, but I am alone and bored. I see some people that look mean and want to beat me up for no reason at all. I saw a couple walk by holding hand in hand and they turn to look at me and wave and just keep walking.
I feel like I am alone in the world or cut off from the rest of the world. I watch other people getting on with their lifes and while I am justing here being bored waiting just waiting. Someone parks beside me and gets out and then I see a kid in the car having to wait as well.
My heart jumps for joy because I see my mother coming back to me and I now know I will no longer be cut off from the rest of the world again when I get home. The experience I felt was lonely and sad and I hope I never have to experience that ever again.

There She stands in the middle of the crowd. Her hair is blowing in the wind and uncovering her perfect face. She is walking towards me and she walks as if she were walking on air and all the men stair. When she walks on by me and she looks at me and gives me a smile and I melt inside. Then she just keeps walking on by me and then she turns a corner and she is out of my life forever.
